Pharmacy

The Pharmacy Department provides Outpatient and Inpatient Pharmacy services via two outpatient pharmacies and five satellite pharmacies. Each acute care service has a pharmacist available to oversee the operations.

The Department of Pharmacy provides integrated, cost effective pharmaceutical services to Hospital Lam Wah Ee (HLWE). These patient-focused services include medication delivery, routine checking to unit dose distribution for daily supplies to inpatients in the wards, outpatient drug counselling, cytotoxic drug reconstitution to both day care patients and inpatients. We also act as a drug information resource to medical and nursing staff on the selection, dosage and route of administration of medications.

Pharmacy Department is committed to continuously improve the medication use process ensuring patient safety and positive health related outcomes, with patients.

Hospital Lam Wah Ee operates a complete packaging, storage and dispensing of medications onsite. Practice comprehensive routine checking to every single medication dispensing to patients. In the ward, barcodes unit dose medication for daily supplies to patients.
