The Ambulance Service of Hospital Lam Wah Ee provides 24-hour ambulance service to the public to and from Hospital Lam Wah Ee for emergencies, accidents and injuries.

When Calling an Ambulance

Try to stay calm, and speak clearly when asked additional questions by the operator. This will help the patient to receive the best ambulance service.

Some questions you may be asked include:

• Where is the patient?
• What is the phone number you're calling from?
• Are you with the patient right now?
• Is the patient awake?
• Is the patient breathing?
• What is the name, age, gender of the patient?
• Does the patient have any known medical problems?
• Has the patient visited Hospital Lam Wah Ee before?
  - If yes, what is his/her Medical Record Number(MRN)?

Taking your time to answer these questions will not delay the ambulance response as information accuracy is crucial.

DO NOT hang up the phone before the operator tells you to do so.

Language Support

If you do not speak English or Malay and prefer to speak in other languages, please ask for a person who is able to speak the same language as you do. While the ambulance is on its way, please answer any remaining questions about the patient’s conditions.
