HOSPITAL LAM WAH EE is a not for profit, charitable organization established in 1883.

We help needy and deserving patients to obtain welfare aid in terms of rebates or free of charge for :
1.    Medical Treatment
2.   Heart Surgery
3.   Cancer Treatment

All applications for welfare aid are processed by Hospital Lam Wah Ee’s Welfare Department.

Criteria for Applying Welfare Aid

1.    Malaysian Citizens
2.   Patients receiving treatment in Hospital Lam Wah Ee only
3.   Patients warded in common ward

Procedure for Applying Welfare Aid

1.    Application form is obtainable from Hospital Lam Wah Ee’s Welfare Department

2.   Applicant/Patient and immediate family members are required to declare their income and expenditure and furnish the following documents:- photocopy of identity card/birth certificate, if the family member is under-aged, pay slip/letter of certification of employment and remuneration, income tax declaration form and other relevant supporting documents.

3.   Our Welfare Officer will investigate the background of the patient/applicant after receiving the application form.

4.   Hospital Lam Wah Ee’s Executive Committee will decide on the applications.

5.   The outcome of the application will be made known to the patient, attending doctor and the Hospital’s Finance Department.
