Operating Theatre Suite

The Operating Theatre Complex of Hospital Lam Wah Ee currently has 9 Operating Rooms, a Receiving Bay and a Post Operative Care Bay.

The Operating Theatre Complex provides a safe environment for patients to undergo surgery and other invasive procedures with different types of anaesthesia.

To improve standard of care in perioperative nursing

• To provide a safe, caring environment for patients by ensuring availability of adequate well trained, knowledgeable and efficient staff at all times.
• To support, provide and facilitate continuous nursing education in perioperative nursing care. Hence, having quality care for patient at all times.

Patients requiring surgical intervention and monitoring are scheduled for necessary procedures.

Performances of surgery and diagnostic procedures are carried out either by Local, General or Regional anaesthesia or combination of Anaesthesia procedures as perceived necessary.

Procedures / Surgeries performed include General Surgery, Orthopaedic inclusive of implants replacement, Obstetrical and Gynaecological, Eye Surgery, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Urological, Neurosurgery, ENT, Laparoscopic Surgery and other Minor Invasive procedures to facilitate updated patient care.

Provides Elective and Emergency services. Emergency services running on a 24 hours basis, seven days a week.
