Paediatricians are doctors who manage the health of the children, including physical, behaviour, and mental health issues. They are trained to diagnose and treat childhood illnesses, from minor health problems to serious diseases.
They will see children many times from birth to age 2 and once a year from ages 2 to 5 for "well-child visits." After age 5, the paediatrician will likely continue to see the child every year for annual check-ups. They are also the first person to call whenever children are sick.
Paediatrician will:
• Do physical exams
• Give children vaccinations
• Make sure she meets milestones in growth, behaviour, and skills
• Diagnose and treat children's illnesses, infections, injuries, and other health problems
• Provide information about your children's health, safety, nutrition, and fitness needs
• Answer questions about little one's growth and development
